- I have never stayed at a bed and breakfast. What is it all about?
Our bed and breakfast may not be like all bed and breakfasts, or what you might think. Our guest rooms are not in the main house, so you will have more privacy, when you are in your room. You have your own entrance to your room and each room has a private bath.
We do serve you a full breakfast of the chef's choice in our main house's great room with common dining table.
- Breakfast you say. What will we have and when will we eat it?
Breakfast is chef's choice for that morning. We will discuss the time that works best for us all. We will try to accomodate your time if possible.
The chef has chosen various combinations of the following in the past, and new items might be added in the future. If you have food allergies, then please make that known at reservation time to allow time to accomodate that if possible.
Country breakfast items: eggs, bacon, sausage, toast, biscuits, gravy
Fresh fruits
Large waffles cooked with the waffle iron, strawberry sauce, fresh whipped cream, powedered sugar, nuts
Breakfast tacos
Orange Juice, Coffee, Tea
- When you state no pets, you don't mean my small dog?
Sorry, we cannot accomodate any pets on the premises or ranch.
- Can I leave my child in the room, when I leave the Rocking H for a while?
We do not offer childcare. You will need to take your child with you, so they are with an adult.
- I like to walk around or hike is there any place to do that?
We do have acreage to explore. There are some trails and open pasture. We ask that you leave everything where you find it. Be careful where you walk, if you are not on a trail. Always look where you step.
- Why do I have to pay for the first night in advance?
We have a limited number of rooms, and do not over-book a room. When someone requests a room, it is no longer available for others to request. We want to make sure you will be staying here. If someone is reserving multiple rooms around the area and choosing one of them at the last minute while cancelling the others, that is not fair to the other guests looking for a place to stay.
- What payment options do I have?
We require you to confirm your reservation by paying for your first night in advance. This can be done by check (mail) or credit card (online). Cash should not be mailed. The remainder of your bill can be paid in cash or check upon arrival. If you want to pay for the remainder by credit card, then let us know so we can send you the email invoice before arrival. You will need to take care of that online before you arrive.
